Darkfall release date has been announced as January 22. Most, if not all members from Tempest on Warhammer will be moving from Warhammer to Darkfall to try the game out. Assuming, of course, it is a good game we will be setting up our new home there. Our race combination will be Mirdain/Human/Dwarf. Rules, and ranking systems have been created, and are posted on the member's forums. They will be moved for public viewing closer to the release date. If you are interested in applying to Tempest then please go to our forums, and put up an application on the website!

We have come a long way over the past month. The biggest recent piece of news is we moved from Wolfenburg to Dark Crag. The server is great with oRvR happening at almost all times of the day. The majority of our members are now level 40, or very close to it. Our guild rank is now 19, and it is swiftly approching 20 when our guild heraldry will finally be displayed. Finally, we have been killing many more destruction then ever. The normal targets now blend in with the massive zerg that is Destruction. But it works out nicely - zerglings never were a match for the marines that are Tempest.

In the past week we have gone from guild rank 10 to guild rank 13, and we have begun taking tier 3 keeps! Our numbers have been growing at a perfect pace, and within the next week we will be taking tier 4 keeps for ourselves! With a cost of 10g per day tier 4 keeps provide bonus guild experience, as well as our guilds standard bonus to anyone defending the keep. All we need now is guild rank 14! Great work everyone - keep it up!

Guild rank 14, first Tempests Keep! PDF Print E-mail

The swarms were all around us! The horde, or the destruction; whatever they are called - both names are fitting. We started the raid in The Badlands. Sucessfully helping another Order guild defend their keep from a large number of destruction - we decided to take a keep for ourselves. We organized in the High Pass warcamp, and quickly dispersed to the keep in Talbecland. The first door went down without many disruptions, but the second door was another story. At first it started with a few people running in one at a time to try to get to the keep. They were easily dispirsed. Soon, groups of three to five were coming every minute. Our ram was taken down, and so we concentrate our full effort on preventing destruction players from entering the keep. We were moderately sucessful, but some did manage to get by our defenses.

When the ram pad came back up we had four on it immediately, and the door was destroyed within two minutes. All the while our other forces helped to defend other destruction players from entering. Once the door was downed we quickly ran into the keep room. Our main tank picked up the keep lord, and as many champions as possible - while all Tempests members concentrate on killing destruction players. Once the enemy force was downed we killed the keep lord. A successful attack! But wait - all of a sudden 30+ destruction enter the keep lord room just as he spawns. Caught off guard we put up as much of a defense as we could, but were taken down by the hord...destruction.

A great victory - and then engulfed in smoked. We regrouped in the High Pass warcamp, and quickly moved on to our next target - The Badlands. We met in the warcamp again, and quickly made our way to the Keep. Little resistance was met, as we downed the first door - the second door - and the keep lord! With the keep Lord down we planted our standard at the top of the keep, and had sucessfully claimed our first keep!

First Tempests Keep!

With no destruction in sight we moved on to the southern battlefield objective. Our one member remaining at the camp soon reported "We have 3.. 5... 10.. destruction at the Keep!". As soon as the battlefield objective champion was down we mounted up, and rode back to the keep. We attempted to take a few casters, and their ram from behind - but their numbers, and levels quickly overwhelmed us. The command was given to go through to postern door, and setup a defense. The enemy ram was taken down once, but their numbers were too great to defeat on the ground. We had no choice, but to stay on the wall, and attempt to reduce their numbers with siege weapons!

Eventually their ram pad respawned, and the door was taken down. When it was at 10% the order was given to retreat, and setup defenses in the keep itself. Their numbers were too great to hold back, and they eventually made it into the keep itself. We were able to hold them off for a few minutes, but the smoke advanced! A valiant first effort, some great defenses, and in my opinion a battle won for the side of order! Great work everyone, and I look forward to doing this many more times in the future!

Great work everyone! We are now guild rank 10, and have our heraldy pattern reserved. As we gain more guild ranks we will unlock cloak colors, patterns, and heraldry patterns. Also, after guild rank 10 each level brings extremely useful abilities. So again, great job, and keep up the good work!
